About New Churches Now
We are a collaborative organization that works globally to help indigenous leaders catalyze movements. We have pioneered an apostolic tool that we call the Catalyst System.
At the heart of the Catalyst System is a collaborative event called the Catalyst Community where we activate faith, share knowledge/methods and create community. The outcomes of the Catalyst System are accelerated Church growth and planting, Movement and Network formation and global engagement for leaders.
What We Believe
God
We believe in God Almighty, the eternal, all-powerful being who created, for His pleasure, heaven and earth and all that is in them. He also created the spirit world and rules His entire creation by sovereign decree. We believe that God has revealed Himself to man in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, born of a virgin in Bethlehem, Israel, around 3 BC. He is eternal, self-existent and fully God. He lived an absolutely sinless life and was crucified on a Roman cross, accepting God’s wrath for our sin. His death was on our behalf and in our place completely satisfying the righteous demands of the law. After three days in a tomb, He physically rose from the dead and was seen by witnesses for 40 days. He returned to heaven and now reigns with God the Father.
Holy Spirit
We believe that Holy Spirit is God who indwells all believers. His presence transforms the believer into a bodily temple where He works continuously conforming all followers of Christ into the image of the one who has saved them. He illuminates the believer’s mind to the truths of God’s word while convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment to come.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word to man. It was given by Him through human instruments and is His perfect revelation. The central figure of the Bible is Jesus Christ and the central theme is God’s plan for saving man for His glory. The Bible is the final, infallible authority for all matters of faith and life.
The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ. It has been given the commission to take the good news of Jesus to the entire world. It is made up of every man, woman, boy and girl who have turned from their sins and placed faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe the Holy Spirit gives gifts to each and every believer and that believers are most effective and most joyful in serving Christ when ministry and giftedness are aligned. While we are not part of the “charismatic movement” we also believe, without exception, that the exercise of any gift mentioned in the New Testament is subject to all guidelines mentioned in the New Testament. The unbiblical exercise of any gift is against the work of the Holy Spirit.
Satan
We believe in a literal devil named Satan who is the source of all evil in the universe. He is not all powerful, nor omni-present, but works to hinder the work of God all through the world. At this time, he is allowed much freedom to tempt, discourage and harass God’s saints and to blind and deceive the rest of humanity to keep them from coming to Jesus Christ. His time, however, is short and he will spend all eternity in the Lake of Fire.
Eternal Kingdom
We believe that the Kingdom of God is both present and coming. It is present in the lives of those who have believed in Jesus Christ as the principles and priorities of God’s Kingdom are put on display in daily living. It is coming since Jesus is presently reigning over the universe as He sits enthroned by His Father. The day will come when Christ returns to earth, destroys His enemies finally, and establishes His visible Kingdom that will encompass the New Heaven and the New Earth, where only righteousness will dwell.
